NCLB Parent Involvement Resources

Welcome to the new Title I Parent Involvement Toolkit!

More than 98% of principals and teachers who were recently surveyed agreed that parent involvement is “critical” to a child’s success in school. However, parent involvement always has and remains one of the most difficult areas to effectively implement in most schools.

No Child Left Behind has 24 requirements for districts to involve parents in various aspects of Title I. Many of the requirements are consistent across all school districts. This toolkit offers hands-on materials and resources, as well as training guides and camera ready copies, for each of the requirements.

You will find surveys, meeting invitations, agendas and even scripts of information you should cover at the various Title I meetings. You will also find powerpoints that outline processes for creating and evaluating your policies and compacts each year.

We hope by providing these materials, you can spend less time “re-inventing the wheel” and more time on the most important component of any effective parent involvement program – connecting with and forming respectful and trusting relationships with your Title I parents.
